Nathan is currently a software engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company, who has primarily been
working to develop software systems that control and manipulate first-of-a-kind inspection and
maintenance tooling for CANDU steam generators. Nathan is relatively new to the nuclear industry,
having worked for Westinghouse Electric Company (formerly Laveer Engineering) since the beginning of
2020. Prior to him joining, his experience comes in the form of software development as well as
mechanical-electrical systems design. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 2017 with a
bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, minoring in mechatronics and engineering business. He is
currently working on designing a software system that will be used to control a modular robotic
manipulator, which will facilitate more accurate and efficient steam generator maintenance processes.
